- A $500,000 loan from the Ohio Public Works Commission and $340,000 SCIP grant was available for wastewater treatment in Brandt. [On July 10, 2008, the loan was terminated and the grant was reduced to $90,000.

- The preliminary engineering report from consultanting firm LJB, Inc., to the Miami County Engineer. (full text)
- Page 1 shows that it was the Miami County Engineer that "determined that it is necessary to remedy" a problem that affects 74 homes and 13 businesses, NOT THE OHIO EPA.
- Page 2 says that the Ohio EPA is willing to issue a permit limited to Brandt, but they would not do so if the service area included new development.
- Page 8 of the report states that the ONLY treatment technology that reliably meets all of the criteria put forth by the township trustees, i.e., exceed Ohio EPA standards, no objectional ordors or nroise, nice appearance appropriate for a residential community setting, and highly reliable among other things, is a Membrane Bio-reactor treatment system.
